About Frederic B. Newman, MD
Dr. Frederic Newman began his medical career in gastroenterology in 1991. Dr. Newman received his Bachelor of Science Degree in Biology graduating as Summa Cum Laude. He is a graduate of the University of Florida College of Medicine where he received his Medical Degree. He completed his internship, residency and gastroenterology fellowship at the University of Florida Health Science Center in Jacksonville Florida. Dr. Newman served as Assistant Clinical Professor from 1991 to 1994 at the University of California San Francisco Division of Gastroenterology. He was the Director of the Division of Gastroenterology at the Oakland Naval Hospital from 1991 to 1993. A Diplomate of the American Board of Internal Medicine in Internal Medicine and Gastroenterology, Dr. Newman has been in private practice in California since 1993 prior to joining Gastro Health (formerly Gastroenterology Associates of Pensacola) in 2016.
